Source text - English PHA are thermoplastic polyesters that may be produced by microbial fermentation from sugars of plant origin, in particular corn starch or waste vegetable matter. Microorganisms produce PHA when conditions of deficiency in certain metabolites associated with an excess offer of carbon are encountered. In other words, the microorganisms then accumulate carbon, originating from sugars, in the form of PHA granules. PHAs are used, for example, as constituent material of packagings or in the medical field as suture material. They substitute for petroleum-based polymers.
Fermentation processes are known using pure selected strains of microorganisms and also a specific substrate for producing PHAs. Such a solution is difficult to exploit at an industrial scale for an acceptable production cost.
Translation - Indonesian PHA merupakan poliester termoplastik yang dapat diproduksi melalui fermentasi mikroba dari gula yang berasal dari tumbuhan, khususnya pati jagung atau bahan limbah sayuran. Source text - English The wet method often uses water during the sterilisation, fruit digestion, and clarification processes which produce waste water. Therefore, the wet method is not ideal as it is not environmentally friendly due to the high output of effluents and pollutants. As for the dry method, there is no waste water produced as the method involves roasting the fruits. However, pressing the fruit with the nut still intact would easily cause friction and mechanical wear to the pressing equipment.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Bogor Agricultural University (Institut Pertanian Bogor) with major in Biochemistry. During college I had participated in a national science seminar held by the university to present my research on chitosan and also I had an internship at LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences) in Cibinong.
Work Experience:
a) Intellectual Property Rights (Patent Field)
I worked in Intellectual Property Rights Consultant Office owned by Japanese in Jakarta from 2012 to 2016. Initially, I joined the patent division. Beside handled response to Office Action from Directorate General of IPR, I also visited the Directorate General of IPR (especially met with the patent examiner) to follow up client's patent applications that have not yet been patented. Lastly, my position was a proofreader to handle the translation of patent specifications.
b) Full-time Translator
I have been in the translation field for several years and have translated about 70s of patent specifications to date, on topics: biomass production, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, product packaging, waste management, paper & textile industry.
