Translation - English Singapore will have 4th desalination plants.
PUB, Water Agency in Singapore has planned to institute 4th desalination plants for preventing water shortages and being sufficient in the future. Moreover, this will make water resources's safety be more stable. This new desalination plants will be located at Marina East, received water from Marina Reservoir to generate 30 million gallons of fresh water per day. With former desalination plants, Singapore can generate 160 million gallons of fresh water per day and in 2060, will generate fresh water from brine 30% of water requirement's amount.
Nowadays, Singapore's water requirement is approximately 400 million gallons per day and could be estimated that in 2060 will double increase.
This 4th desalination plants is part of the government's plan for making sure that in 2060, Singapore can generate fresh water from desalination and Newater (the method which adjust dirty water into clean water). Furthermore, Singapore has a plan for preventing water shortages after the end of an agreement with Malaysia about delivery untreated water in 2061 by making more water resources. That plan can do by
- Institute 3rd desalination plants at Taus which will be finished in 2017 and generated 30 million gallons per day.
- Institute 5th Newater factory which will be finished in 2017, too. This factory can generate 50 million gallons of water per day.
Singapore was listed as a country which will have water shortages in danger in 2040. World Resources Institute in Washington surveyed 167 countries and reported 33 countries as the countries which have a terrible problem about water shortages. Singapore, Kuwait and Qatar were three of them. This rank used ability of depending on water from a surface such as lake and river to make competition.
However, government agencies and researchers in Singapore are studying new ways to increase water resources. Professor Asit Biswas, the Third World Centre for Water Management's Founder, believes that Singapore will not have a water shortages problem even in 2050 and said that Singapore have well managed about water. With high technology and developing management, Singapore planned to institute more desalination plants and generate fresh water from used water to reach 80% of the required amount in 2060. Moreover, Singapore will enlarge place to store the rain from 2/3 to 90% of Singapore's area in 2060.
Meanwhile, researchers at the National University of Singapore (NUS) have an idea about storing the rain in Singapore by structure the road which can absorb the rain and have the underground tank for storing. This project was designed and experimented in Sungei Kadut. It not only stores water, but also decrease the risk of flood, the rate of pollutants and makes environment go by its nature.

Source text - English Most of peoples in this group had an optimistic attitude toward England’s politics. They refer to referendum about leaving the EU. Most of peoples in this group (4 from 6) expressed their opinion that this referendum had showed them that both sides have different thoughts, but did not use violence with others who did not have same opinion. In contrast, everybody accept the difference of political attitude and the result of referendum which came from most people. This was unlike in Thailand which people were tended to use violence in order to express their political attitude against people who did not agree with them. Some interviewee added more reason which made they saw England’s politics in great image. It was because they thought that England’s political system was high quality. It made people who truly had ability and knowledge could be a part of political system and became leader. That was unlike Thailand where sometimes people who had only money without ability or knowledge could come in political system. Interviewee also gave an example, previous England’s president who had resigned after England leaving the EU. They thought this situation was showing sincerity in administration. Interviewee said, “The resign of David Cameron, England’s president, showing responsibility in administration. Because his policy did not suitable for England anymore so he decided to resigned”
About economy, this group said about England's large economy and had an affected on the world market since the past. In the present, economic problem was important for every country, even in England. But for them, England still had a good economy. They observed from people who lived in England, their lives still the same as before and be happy. In London, which was the capital city, was still bustled and had many people in the shopping center.
About society and culture, everyone in this group agreed that when they said about England, they thought of “the English well-mannered person”. Interviewees said that their attitude toward English people were gentle and well-mannered people who had unique clothes like a suit, necktie and top hat. All of these were English people’s image that travelers thought before traveling in England. Good manner about saying or eating also made them think of the English well-mannered person. Some said that this gentle behavior had express when English people queue up in line for buying something or receiving services. Some travelers added more opinion that English people’s behavior which really neat and had a pattern since the past until the present like Afternoon tea was one that make them thought of England’s cultural image.
