Source text - English Traffic congestion is one of the most common problems faced by all major cities in the world. It has triggered various interrelated effects, such as air and sound pollution, climate change, health issues and fossil fuel scarcity. Surprisingly, even 'high evolving' technologies implemented in many countries had failed to overcome this problem. Literature showed that the failure is caused by the heavily skewed policy towards technical solutions while the human aspects of a consumer was simple overlooked. Therefore, congestion needs to be analyze further from the perspective of consumer behavior.
Translation - Indonesian Kemacetan merupakan salah satu persoalan paling umum yang dihadapi oleh hampir seluruh kota besar di dunia ini. Kemacetan menimbulkan beragam efek berantai seperti polusi udara, pemanasan global, gangguan kesehatan, polusi suara, hingga kelangkaan bahan bakar minyak. Mengejutkannya, meskipun terdapat negara yang telah menerapkan teknologi yang canggih untuk memecahkan persoalan kemacetan, persoalan ini juga tidak dapat diselesaikan oleh negara tersebut. Literatur menunjukkan bahwa kegagalan tersebut disebabkan terabaikannya unsur manusia sebagai pengguna/konsumen. Mengingat hal itu, kemacetan perlu diselidiki lebih mendalam dengan menggunakan perspektif disiplin perilaku konsumen.
