PME-Indonesia.Com, Jakarta--Saat ini PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk sedang mempertimbangkan rencana akusisi beberapa perusahan tambang.
Menurut Direktur Keuangan PT ITM Edward Manurung, perseroan mungkin saja mengakuisisi saham PT Berau Coal jika tawarannya menarik. “Kalau tawarannya menarik, kenapa tidak?” katanya di Bursa Efek Indonesia, Selasa (12/5).
Edward mengungkapkan, dalam rangka meningkatkan produksi, perseroan saat ini memang berencana mengakusisi beberapa tambang batu bara. Sejumlah manajer investasi juga telah mengajukan beberapa tawaran. Namun perseroan belum memutuskannya. “Kami masih mempetimbangkan dan membandingkan satu dengan lainnya. Mana yang lebih menguntungkan dan cocok dengan kondisi perusahaan.”
Laba Bersih Naik
Sementara itu Direktur Utama PT ITM Somyot Ruchirawat mengatakan, pada kuartal I-2009 perseroan membukukan pendapatan bersih sebesar US$ 102 juta atau naik sebesar 437% dibanding periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar US$ 19 juta.
"Sebagian kontrak penjualan batu bara 2009 dilakukan pada pertengahan dan akhir tahun 2008, dimana harga penjualan batu bara mencapai titik tertinggi. Oleh karena itu, kami sangat bersyukur atas pencapaian hasil kuartal Pertama 2009 yang merupakan berkah kelanjutan dari hasil perusahaan pada tahun sebelumnya," katanya.
Hingga April 2009, ITM telah menandatangani 95% kontrak penjualan guna memenuhi target volume penjualan tahun 2009 yang sebesar 20,5 juta ton batu bara.
Guna meningkatkan kinerja yang baik dan kekuatan kompetitifnya, ITM akan menerapkan beberapa strategi yaitu akan meningkatkan produksi batu bara melalui kegiatan eksplorasi dan aktifitas pengembangan serta peluang akuisisi untuk memperluas daerah kontrak (konsesi) yang ada saat ini. Selain itu ITM juga akan memperkuat posisinya di kawasan Asia Tenggara dan Timur Laut melalui hubungan baik dengan para konsumen di pasar regional.
Rencananya, sambung Somyot, tahun ini ITM akan mengembangkan Blok Timur di PT Indominco Mandiri. ”Ijinnya sudah diperoleh.” (PME-08)

PME-Indonesia.Com, Jakarta-- PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk is considering plans to acquire several mining companies.
According to Finance Director PT ITM Edward Manurung, company may acquire share of PT Berau Coal if the offer is attractive. “If the offer is attractive, why not?” he said in Indonesian Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia), Tuesday (12/5).
Edward said, in an effort to increase production, the company is planning to acquire several coal mines. A number of investment managers have also proposed several offers. However the company has not made any decision. “We are still considering and comparing one to another. Which is more profitable and suitable with the company’s condition.”
Nett Profit Increase
On another occasion, President Director of PT ITM Somyot Ruchirawat said, in Quarter 1 2009 (Q1 2009), the company has recorded a nett revenue of US$ 102 million or an increase of 437% compared to the same period last year at US$ 19 million.
"Some of the 2009 coal sales contracts were secured in the middle and end of 2008, where coal price was at the highest point. Therefore, we are really grateful of the Q1 2009 achievement, which is a continuing blessing of company’s result in the previous year," he said.
Until April 2009, ITM has signed 95% of sales contracts to fulfil the 2009 sales volume target of 20,5 million tonnes of coal.
In order to improve performance and competitiveness, ITM will apply several strategies; increase coal production through exploration and development activities and acquisition opportunities to expand current contract area. Besides that, ITM will also strengthen its position in the South East and North East Asia regions through maintaining good relationship with consumers in the regional market.
The plan, added Somyot, ITM will develop East Bloc in PT Indominco Mandiri this year. ”Permit has been obtained.” (PME-08)
