A: At first, I also found it hard to believe that the translator would be able to finish the assigned job totalling nearly 700 pages within less than 3 weeks. It does not mean a full 3 week period. The client has divided the scanned documents into 3 parts and we gave him 1 week to finish the 2nd part totalling 405 pages. But he happenned to work on another project totalling 200 pages that he started on Monday (the day I sent the document). So he started to work on this 2nd part 3 days from that date (17th Jan 2007) and he ought to complete it on 22nd Jan 2007). He could do it without using any CAT tool!

Indonesian Translator Needed to translate software manual (Large Volume)
We are seeking qualified translators to translate some software manuals. The documents are quite technicals and we also require the translators are highly experienced in mapping the words that typically appear in a software menu (eg.: File, Edit, View, Tools) into the proper Indonesian terms. The manuals, then, must be translated in accordance to these terms.
The volume of translation is close to 800 pages and the job should be accomplished by the end of March 2006.
Due to its high volume and time constraint, we prefer that the translation job is carried out by some translators working under the same agency to ensure consistency.

1.1 About this document
These installation and operating instructions are an integral part of the product. They must be kept readily available at the place where the product is installed. Strict adherence to these instructions is a precondition for the proper use and correct operation of the product.
These installation and operating instructions conform to the relevant version of the product and the underlying safety standards valid at the time of going to press.
2 Safety
These instructions contain important information which must be followed when installing and operating the pump. It is therefore imperative that they be read by both the installer and the operator before the pump is installed or operated.
Both the general safety instructions in this section and the more specific safety points in the following sections should be observed.

Starting-up
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Danger – rotating cutter! First switch off the pump!
CAUTION! Risk of damage to the pump!
Prior to starting up the pump, the shaft and the intake pipes should be freed from solid matter such as rubbish.
8.1 Direction of rotation (only for three-phase motors)
The correct direction of rotation must be tested before the pump is submerged. This is indicated by the arrow showing the direction of rotation on the pump housing.
• Hang the pump in the hoist.
• Briefly switch on the pump. The pump will move in the opposite direction to the motor (arrow on housing).
• If the direction of rotation is incorrect, 2 phases of the mains connection must be exchanged.
8.2 Adjusting the control level
Adjusting the control level: see instructions for assembly and installation of the control level.
CAUTION! Risk of damage to the pump!
Dry running destroys the mechanical seal.
The pump must not be allowed to run dry and to suck any air.
The "OFF" position (Hmin) of the level control depends on the pump type and/or the operating mode (Fig. 1, 2, 3).
The "ON" position should be set to the desired maximum level but should nevertheless remain below the intake pipe in the shaft.
8.3 Operating conditions in potentially explosive locations
See additional instructions for operation for in potentially explosive locations.
9 Maintenance
Maintenance and repair work should only be carried out by qualified personnel!
DANGER! Risk of asphyxiation!
Shafts for wastewater submersible motordriven pumps may contain wastewater with toxic and/or harmful substances.
• For reasons of safety, maintenance work should only be carried out in the presence of another person.
• The pump shaft must be properly ventilated before any work takes place.
WARNING! Risk of infection!
In order to avoid any risk of infection, maintenance work should only be carried out using appropriate protective clothing (protective gloves).
WARNING! Risk of electric shock!
Potential dangers caused by electrical energy must be excluded.
• The pump must be switched off for all repair work and secured against unauthorised operation.
• In principle, damage to the connecting cable should only be repaired by a qualified electrician.

In 1996, a working wife and mother of three, was in a traffic accident. Apparently, she sustained no permanent injuries. But after a while, various symptoms began to make themselves felt.
Suddenly, my neck could not hold up my head – it was an impossible situation.
Some people will say that it’ll be all right – and then time just passes.
I was in pain and a lot of days I had to call in sick. I couldn’t get out of bed.
They’re unable to do their jobs and have to call in sick. Which means we’re suddenly one employee short.

We have our own clinic here where we can get the four different types of treatment: Massage, chiropractic treatment, physiotherapy, and reflexology.
We simply set up a clinic where the four therapists come to treat employees. It doesn’t take much – it’s just an office measuring 12 square meters. We put in a bench; the company puts in a desk and so on. Then the employees can make an appointment – either on our electronic booking system or via the phone hotline.
I make an appointment with Peter, our physiotherapist. I tell him I have this problem and he decides right away that Lars, our chiropractor, should examine me first. We must find out what’s wrong with me.
And when I had been to see Lars – and after he had examined me, he decided that I ought to have some X-rays taken. So I was sent to the hospital the day after. They call it whiplash – my neck was crooked – my muscles had been torn somehow so they couldn’t contract. And that means that my nerves will always get stuck whenever I make a wrong movement. So we needed to get my neck back in place and rebuild the muscles in my neck. So I had two more sessions with Lars, and then Peter, the physiotherapist, took over. And then I also had massages and reflexology. The main task for the reflexologist was to improve my blood circulation – it won’t strengthen my neck, but it will make my headaches go away so I’ll feel like a human being again.

Source text - English How the Microwave Function Works
Microwaves are a form of energy similar to radio and television waves and ordinary daylight. Normally, microwaves spread outwards as they travel through the atmosphere and disappear without effect. This ovens, however, have a magnetron which is designed to make use of the energy in microwaves. Electricity, supplied to the magnetron tube, is used to created microwave energy.
These microwaves enter the cooking area through openings inside the oven. A turntable or tray is located at the bottom of the oven. Microwaves cannot pass through metal walls of the oven, but they can penetrate such materials
as glass, porcelain and paper, the materials out of which microwave-safe cooking dishes are constructed.
Microwaves do not heat cookware, though cooking vessels will eventually get hot from the heat generated by the food.
Control Panel
1. Display Window: You can show time of day, cooking time, power level
and cooking categories.
2. Enter: You can determine the selected cooking category, microwave power level or temperature.
3. Micro: You can select five power level settings.
4. Grill: You can select the grill categories.
5. Conv.: You can select temperature and time of convection.
6. Speed Combi: You can select the combination categories.
7. Speed Auto Cook: Speed auto cook allows you to cook most of your
favorite food quickly by selecting the food type and the weight of the food.
8. Dial Knob:
• You can set cooking times, temperature, weight and cooking categories.
• While cooking with auto and manual function, you can lengthen or shorten the cooking time at any point by turning the dial knob(except defrost mode).
9. Defrost: You can select the food type and the weight of the food.
10. Favorite: The cooking program can be stored in the memory of your oven
up to 9 modes(FA-1~FA-9).
11. Clock: You can set the time of day.
12. Stop/Clear: You can stop over and clear all entries except time of day.
• Press Stop/Clear Button one time, all icons will be displayed on window in time of day or clear mode.
• Press Stop/Clear Button one more time, all icons will be disappeared.
13. Start/Quick Start:
• In order to start cooking which is selected, press button one time.
• The quick start feature allows you to set 30 seconds intervals of HIGH
power cooking with a touch of the quick start button.
14. Icon: You can see all icons by pressing “Stop/Clear” button one time and remove all icons by pressing one more time(all icons will disappear automatically after 15 seconds).
