İNSAN neden zengin olmak ister? Hayatın sunduklarının değerine varmayı bilemedikten sonra, para hangi mutluluğun karşılığı olabilir?
İtalya’nın en güzel sahillerinden Forte Dei Marmi’ye 1960’ların ortasında, bir okul gezisi sırasında düşmüştü yolum. Küçüktüm ama dünyanın en güzel yerlerinden biri olarak kalmıştı anılarımda.
Thomas Mann, Aldous Huxley, Henry Moore gibi güçlü edebiyatçıların yazlarını burada geçirdiğini öğrenmiş, o yazların eserlerindeki izdüşümleri ile karşılaşmıştım.
16’ıncı yüzyıldan beri sanatçıların beldesi olarak anılan Forte Dei Marmi bugünlerde İtalyan gazetelerinin ilgisini çekti.
Turizm mevsiminde böyle nadide bir bölgeden söz etmek doğal.
Ama bu kez durum farklı. Yüzyıllardan beri sadelik kültürü ile yoğrulan bu güzel sahil beldesi son yıllarda zengin Rus turistlerin akınına uğramış. Sahillerdeki VİP diskoteklerde 4500 euro bahşiş bırakan Rus mafıosolar mı istersiniz, binlerce euroluk canım İtalyan şaraplarını pizzalarına katık ederek sevgililere gösteriş yapanlar mı? Forte dei Marmi’yi bir görgüsüzlük diyarı haline getiren büyük para sahipleri, emlak fiyatlarını da uçurmuşlar.
Toscana’nın, bu zarif kasabasındaki 7 bin 700 evden sadece 3 bin 200’ü Forte dei Marmi’lilere ait. Evler Ruslara astronomik fiyatlara satılmış. İkinci, üçüncü ev olarak kullanılıyorlar. Zanaatçılar kepenk indiriyor, geleneksel fırınlar kapanıyor, küçük lokantalar tarihe karışıyor, bu sahil beldesinin 500 yıllık kültürü para muslukları altında eriyip yok oluyormuş.
Rus iş adamı Abromowitz ile başlayan moda o kadar büyük bir tehdit altına sokmuş ki Forte Dei Marmi’yi bu yıl yabancılara ev satışı yasaklanmış. Belediye Başkanı, yerel ruhun canlanması için Forte dei Marmi’li gençlere ucuz ev projesi geliştiriyor.
“Artık kumsallarımızdan yüksek volümlü müzik olmadan, sade bir biçimde denize giremiyor, küçük bir balıkçı meyhanesinde alıştığımız kalamarları artık yiyemiyoruz” diye bu sahili terk edenlerin geri dönmesi mümkün mü?
Bodrum geri dönebilir mi? Fethiye? Kaş? Antalya’dan, kente bir kuruşluk faydası olmayan her şey dahillerden söz bile etmiyorum.
İtalyanlar da umutlu değil. Napoli, bir zamanların en romantik kenti geçen yıllarda çöplerinin altında kalmıştı.
Haz almayı sadece büyük paralarla mümkün gören aç gözlü görgüsüzlük, “turizm” ya da “yabancı yatırım” maskesi altında, ayrıntılarda kıvrımlanarak gelişen yerel kültürü ezip geçiyor.
Bu habere dikkatimi çeken neden dün Bozcaada’da, bu yıl dokuzuncusunu düzenlediğimiz “Ozan’ın günü-Homeros okuması”ndaki atmosferdi. Haluk Şahin ile Cevat Çapan’ın dokuz yıl önce başlattıkları bu girişim, Avrupa kültürünün temel taşlarından olan Troya savaşının geçtiği coğrafyayı kavramak, sahip olduğumuz bu zenginliği koruma bilincini yaygınlaştırmaktı.
Bu yıl Süreyya Berfe, yılın ozanı olarak şiirlerini dinletti. Troya kazılarının usta arkeologu Rüstem Aslan, dünyanın Troya’ya, Bozcaada sayesinde kavuştuğunu, Homeros’un Tenedos’un karşı sahili diye açık adres gösterdiğini anlattı. Türkiye’ye arkeolojiyi sevdiren Arkeopera’nın sahibi Nezih Başgelen’den de, Homeros’un İliada Destanı’nda Batı Anadolu coğrafyasını, nehirleri, rüzgarları, kuşlarına varıncaya dek nasıl ayrıntılı biçimde dile getirdiğini dinledik. Bir gece başımızı kaldırıp baktığımız yıldızların aynı noktadan üç bin yıl önce de aynı biçimde göründüğünü fark etmenin, Menderes’in Gediz’in üç bin yıldan beri kollarıyla aynı coğrafyadan kayıp geçişini izlemenin ayrıcalığını hissettik.
İlham kaynağı güzellikler üzerinde durduğumuz bu coğrafya bugün bilinçsiz tüketim tehdidi ile karşı karşıya. Çirkinleştirdiğimiz, çimento yapacağız diye kalıntılarla birlikte yok ettiğimiz tepeler, altın çıkartmak için ağzımız sulanan dağlar, kitle turizmi için göz diktiğimiz koylar bu tehlikenin habercisi. Büyük paralar karşısında durmak çok zor. Kaybettiklerimiz gözümüzün önünde. Ders alır mıyız?

I happened to go that way to Forte Dei Marmi which is one of the most beatifull beaches of Italy during a school tri, in the middle of the 1960s.I was little but it sticked to my memories as one of the most beatifull places of the world.I learned the mighty litterateurs like Thomas Mann, Aldous Huxley, Henry Moore summered here , came up with the projectios of that summers at their literatures.
Forte Dei Marmi which has been mentioned as the area of the artworkers since the 16.century, attracted the attention of the Italy newspapers.To talk about such a rare and precious area is natural at the tourist season. But this time the situation is different. this beatifull seaside area which is being molded by simlicity culture for centuries is flooded by rich Russian tourists of late years.Do you want rusisan mafiosos who tips 4500 euro at the V.I.P discotheques at the beaches, the ones who shows off to their lovers by eking dear Italian wines to the pizzas.The Money owners who work up Fort Di Marmi into a unmannerless bourne skyrocketed real estate-prices as well.
Only the 3250 of 7700 houses are belong to Forte Di Marmi people in this elegant town of Toscana.The houses are sold to russians with fancy prices.They are using as second,third house.The craftsmen are taking down the shutters,traditional bakeries are getting closed, the estaminets are vanishing, this town’s 500 hundread years culture is being melt away under the money taps.

Source text - English WASHINGTON – During his decade-long effort to burrow into U.S. society, secret Russian agent Richard Murphy raised the suspicions of at least one acquaintance in America — the great-granddaughter of Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev.
Nina L. Khrushcheva, who teaches media and culture at The New School in New York City, said Tuesday that she couldn't quite figure out the part-time graduate student with the heavy Russian accent who called himself Murphy and claimed to be a Philadelphia native.
"I was always puzzled by the inconsistency between a completely American name and a completely Russian behavior," Khrushcheva said in a telephone interview. "I never bothered to ask him though, because I was afraid to become privy to some random Russian drama."
Khrushcheva said she served as Murphy's faculty adviser at The New School for three years starting in 2002.
FBI officials said the arrests of Murphy and nine others came after officials learned that another agent, Donald Heathfield of Cambridge, Mass., would soon be traveling abroad with a college-age son.
Murphy, whose real name was Vladimir Guryev, "had a thick Russian accent and an incredibly unhappy Russian personality," Khrushcheva said. "I knew he wasn't American. I knew it was very odd."
But she said she wasn't certain until she checked the records Monday that showed her former advisee, now 43, was the same Richard Murphy of Montclair, N.J. who was deported Friday in a Cold War-style spy swap in Vienna.
