español term
oficios varios
As far as I understand it means "odd jobs", but I don't think this would be the right register here.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions or ideas.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

various
You might even throw in a "various tasks" if you're feeling like it is not clear.

Consider:
"Multiple occupational patterns
As mentioned earlier, many indigenous people have multiple occupations, including both traditional and other forms of occupation. The tables given below show..."

various trades
Perhaps "various trades" renders the idea without being too too colloquial or specific.

The asker has already made clear his understanding of the type of activities carried out by the husband, what we'd usually call in Spanish, « chapuzas». That is, as Giovanni says, odd jobs, which usually take the form of plumbing, electrics, fittings, gardening, etc...' He basically turns his hand to whatever's in the offing.
All off the above are trades, not "tasks".

: this is making it too specific as it doesn't have to be "trades". Just "jobs"

"Los oficios clásicos", which is almost certainly the case here, are plumbing, electrics and painters. Add to those acting as occasional repairman, etc.... and you have the oficios.
