По содержанию редкоземельных элементов (La, Ce, Сd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb,Yb, Lu) и элементов-примесей (Ba, Rb, Sr, P, Hf, Ta, To, U) метавулканиты и аповулканитовые сланцы обнаруживают сходство с вулканитами, сформировавшимися в геодинамической обстановке задугового рифтогенеза

: Schist is a metamorphic rock, shale is a sedimentary rock. I doubt that if it's volcanic, it wasn't altered by metamorphism. IMHO

Discussion
These are also called simply "volcanics." I know the etymology of the geological terms, but thanks for the refresher course. The word used most often, IMHO, for igneous is изверженный, but that depends on the authors. Best regards.
And what you are talking about is probably 'эбонит' in Russian, not 'вулканит'. Quat. from Wiki: "Ebonite was a brand name for very hard rubber first obtained by Charles Goodyear by vulcanizing rubber for prolonged periods. It is about 30% to 40% sulfur... The material is known generically as hard rubber and has formerly been called "vulcanite", although that name now refers to the mineral vulcanite."
Volcanite in English:
Igneous rock (derived from the Latin word igneus meaning of fire, from ignis meaning fire) is one of the three main rock types, the others being sedimentary and metamorphic rock. Igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. In this case it can be translated to Russian as "магматическая или же вулканическая" порода, but not as "вулканитовая". Regards.
