Moim zdaniem bardziej odpowiada realiom w PL i DE.
W niemieckich źródłach spotyka się też tłumaczenie dosłowne jako Erziehungsleistung.

Tłumaczenie jako Elterngeld wydaje mi się nieodpowiednie, ponieważ Elterngeld jest co do zasady świadczeniem zastępującym wynagrodzenie (Entgeltersatzleistung), a nie dodatkowym świadczeniem jak Kindergeld (co do zasady vom Einkommen der Eltern unabhängige Familienbeihilfe).
