Ora non sarebbe forse tardi per rimediare [ai problemi di questa donna], ma per me, a me, sono venuti improvvisamente a mancare i pezzi per aiutarla. Non mi sento di poterlo più fare. ***Questa situazione di mia indisponibilità*** mi rende molto triste. La misericordia di Dio è eterna, i mezzi di cui l'uomo dispone sono limitati nel tempo per una misteriosa legge che mi sfugge...

-> l'auteur explique qu'il a tout fait pour aider une connaissance, lui a donné moult conseils (qu'elle n'a jamais suivis) et qu'aujourd'hui, après avoir lu une lettre "désespérée" de cette femme, il n'est plus en mesure de l'aider...

Je n'arrive pas à "switcher" sur autre chose que "situation d'indisponibilité", qui d'une part sonne très mal ici (on est dans le spirituel, pas dans le jargon technique), et d'autre part a des accents juridiques...

Une tournure plus "élevée" ou... spirituelle?
