Forgive me for being a little outspoken here. English instructions or descriptions of this sort generally use the second person you (first you do this, then you do that and you can do it by yourself), which some translate with tu, some with voi. Some resort to impersonal constructions, more Italian, or to constructions such as we read here. When turning this in English, adverbs will not do: the job can be done autonomously? independently? I was just trying to instal a new deadbolt on my front door, and the instructions said something like "easy installation; you can do it yourself with a drill and a few other tools, using the template."

End of tirade. Forgive me, I am old and cranky.
