Italian term
in evoluzione
Italian to English
Other
Cooking / Culinary
This phrase is from a description of an olive oil for a website. It is part of an Italian online guide to olive oils for the English-speaking consumer. The whole sentence reads "E un prodotto interessante e in evoluzione". I don't want to make it sound too negative. "Interessante" has its own connotations. I would be grateful for any suggestions here- many thanks!

I don't think it's negative to say the product is 'evolving' - I don't know the context, if it's a new product line that they're improving/developing. Depending on the context you could say it's 'under development'. Difficult to give a precise answer without more information

Comment: "Thanks very much. The context was a description of an olive oil, hints of artichoke etc! "

continually developing/improving
I think this will give a positive spin. Difficult to be sure without more detailed context - is it the oil, a cosmetic product, a way of using oil etc?
Note from asker:
Thanks very much, Lorraine. This was part of a review of an extra-virgin olive oil from an estate. |
