In any case, the disjoint vote was not sufficient to ensure Borsellino to win the election, and Cuffaro was confirmed president of Sicily. ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicilian_regional_election,_2006 - 34k questo x l'ambito politico ma penso si possa usare anche per il settore bus/financial sorry, just noted you've set preferred language English! |

right to vote differently from the group Explanation: Italy has a history of voting (and like most other countries of buying and selling them) which goes back more than two thousand years and the terminology and practices have become extremely elaborate to the point where equivalent terms are non existent in other languages, hence the "explanatory" nature of the term offered. I believe that it basically means that although you have signed a shareholders' agreement, the agreement contains a clause that allows you the right to vote independently from the group probably in certain cases. The "voto plurimo" is more than one vote per share. Scatole cinesi is where with 51% of one company which owns 51% of hafl a dozen others you control a group of companies "one in side the other" with much less than 50% of the total share capital. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days11 hrs (2008-01-30 06:20:30 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Crazy, that is exactly how I was going to translated it initially, "different types of voting rights", then I read it more carefully (the singular)... |
