Science - Botany / trees
Italian term or phrase: reverelle
This is in a description of the flora of the Alta Maremma: "Gran parte del suo territorio coperta da ampi e rigogliosi boschi di macchia mediterranea: quercine da sughero, reverelle, cerri, lecci, pini, cespugli come il ginepro, la rosa canina e la ginestra." Right now I have "The territory is largely covered with ample and luxuriant forests of Mediterranean brushwood: cork-oaks, reverelle, Turkey oaks, holm-oaks, pines, and shrubs such as juniper, dog-rose and broom."

don't know

Explanation:
I don't know what "reverelle" are, but I'm pretty sure "widespread" and "lush" would be better for "ampi" and "rigogliosi". Sorry I couldn't provide an appropriate answer...

Notes to answerer
Asker: hm. Thanks for the suggestions. I did changed "ample" to "abundant" but I don't like the word "lush"...makes me think of alcoholics...
