Medical - Medical: Dentistry / Index
German term or phrase: Abhalter-Ansatz
The dreaded index again. I know this much: Abhalter is a retractor, but Ansatz is a word for which you really do need context. What's rather unsettling is that the next entry in the index is "Abhalter, Ansatz-", implying that there is such a thing as an Ansatzabhalter!

The only thing I can say is that it's something related to dentistry. Beyond that, I can with the greatest regret provide no further context, as I only have the index and not the main text.

I suppose it's a case of one person's guess being as good as another's, but anyway, please have a shot.

Yes, retractor tip sounds pretty good, probably better than retractor attachment, although I'll enter both options in the glossary. Thanks Johanna - appreciate your help.
