"Amortisation" solo toma en cuenta los activos inmateriales o intangibles (como patentes y marcas, derechos de autor, etc.) y el gasto se amortiza de forma lineal, es decir, se reconoce la misma cantidad como gasto cada periodo durante la vida útil del activo. Por otro lado, "Abscreibung" solo tiene en cuenta los activos tangibles (como una máquina o edificio) y el gasto se amortiza a lo largo de toda su vida útil. Beim Finanzierungsleasing wird davon ausgegangen, dass die Amortisation des Fahrzeugs in der Leasingrate enthalten ist. Die enthaltene ***Abschreibungskomponente*** ist allerdings steuerrechtlich nur mit 12,5 % (aufgrund der Nutzungsdauer von 8 Jahren) abzugsfähig. Der übersteigende Betrag muss jährlich dem steuerlichen Gewinn zugerechnet werden.
