Cercando in rete la locuzione sembra l'incipit di una serie di atti giuridici (costituzioni di società e simili). Dovrebbe essere l'equivalente dell'inglese (obsoleto) "Witnesseth … whereas" di cui puoi trovare questa interessante e utile spiegazione in glossario https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english-to-italian/law-contracts/...

Beh nella frase che riporti in nota però è quasi sicuramente "testimonianza", mentre nell'incipit del documento dovrebbe far parte di una formula predefinita (forse antica) che sicuramente ha un equivalente italiano. Non necessariamente va usato lo stesso traducente. Prova a chiedere a qualche madrelingua.

Asker: grazie per la proposta... il termine si ripete tuttavia ne corpo del testo accanto ad altri sostantivi come "Pedir protocolización de documentos, testimonios, copias legalizadas, certificaciones y todo tipo de actos y trámites notariales"... Forse "attestazione"?
