Thank you freekfluweel - thank you again for your comments. Maybe it is unnecessary to add "women's" after all. I'm just putting the finishing touches to this job, so it's not too late for me to just call it an English-style frame.

@Asker It's not specifically for women! Also men with short legs ride those bikes (the French are a bit shorter than the Dutch...) So if it is for advertising purposes I would definitely leave the women-part out!

women's bike/men's bike depends on where you live. In general a step-through bike is for women because there isn't a top tube that makes it awkard when the women are wearing dresses or skirts. A mixte is the French answer to an unisex frame. However, in the Netherlands, where there are twice as much bikes than there are inhabitants, a real man wouldn't want to be caught dead on a frame like that but in France you can see Pierre riding by on a mixte.

Now technically an Anglaise is not a step through but a mixte frame with a single top tube. But for a general audience I would go for English-style frame (conciser).

Women's bike? Thanks, Kevin. I think it's definitely a women's/ladies' bike, but not sure if that's specific enough. Other frames in the list are Diamantrahmen, Slopingrahmen, Fachwerkrahmen, Kreuzrahmen, Trapezrahmen, Schwanenhalsrahmen, Waverahmen, Easy-Boarding-Rahmen and Y-Rahmen.

@KH: mixte -> unisex step-through is what the Dutch call an "omafiets" (granny's bike). Imo an "anglaise" is NOT a step-through...

Step-through frame seems to cover the "anglais design" or "English style frame", but it also covers "mixte", so it might not be specific enough for your purposes. I could not find any other corresponding descriptive term for this particular frame style.

"English style frame" may be a possibility but maybe "step-through frame" would cover it? "Dame Anglais design" or "English style frame" is what it is called here: http://bertinclassiccycles.wordpress.com/tag/mixte/<br>... It is a step-through frame (aka open frame or low-step frame, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Step-through_frame) similar to the "mixte", but not the same, as you have already pointed out.
