RAPTURE del tumore
sigla RAPTURE (Radiofrequency Ablation of Pulmary Response Evaluation)!!! Attenzione, non è che devi lasciarlo così? Spesso nei link è tutto maiuscolo.
Note from asker:
Ciao Daria. |

Abstract; We have experienced a case (2-year-old, female) in which right kidney-originated Wilms tumor was excised based on the result of Wilms tumor research, but intraoperative tumor RUPTURE and massive bleeding were caused. A tumor occupying the whole upper abdomen was found by touch. Simple abdominal CT showed internal bleeding from tumor, and by abnominal contrast CT, the case was diagnosed as Wilms macrotumor generated from the right kidney, and an operation was performed. The tumor was a macrotumor which arose from the inferior pole of kidney, very tight and full, and an excision was chosen instead of a biopsy. While peeling off the tumor from the circumference, the cover film slightly split and the tumor content escaped, and as the internal pressure was high, the wound expanded further to result in a RUPTURE. Massive bleeding occured after a ligation of right kidney vein, and lowering of blood pressure was caused. In the histopathological findings, renal blast cells proliferated sheet-like to invade the vein and lymph duct obviously, and invasion of a part of renal parenchyma was recognized. It was diagnosed as benign nephroblastoma histologically. Metastases were recognized in reniportal region and lymph node around abdominal aorta. Chemotherapy and irradiation of the whole abdomen were performed. At present, postoperative chemotherapy is finished. There has been no recurrence of the tumor, and the follow-up is being carried out. In a macrotumor case like the above one in which it is expected to be difficult to identify important blood vessel, preoperative chemotherapy could have been necessary.
