Soakaways are one type of "Infiltration Device", a simple way of dispersing surface and storm water in situations where connection to the SW system is impractical or unwarranted. The basic principle is that of a 'reverse well' i.e. a 'hole-in-the-gound' that loses water rather than collecting water.

Având în vedere referinţele Ştefaniei şi contextul, cred ca e vorba de puţuri /bazine colectoare, iar la enumerare le-aş trece simplu "colectoare de apă de suprafaţă"

: "puţ absorbant" este corect. Conform definiţiei din Termium: a pit lined with stones or bricks without mortar, and into which surface water is drained to soak away into the ground. Ar trebui să treceţi termenul (la răspuns) pentru a putea fi punctată.
