L'alternativa che ti propongo, più generica e quindi più sicura è la seguente: 2. componenti per tecnologia planare PLC(Planar Light-Wave Circuit). Si tratta di un settore all'avanguardai ed è possibile che l'espressione non sia mai stata tradotta. Sicuramente si tratta di circuiti che applicano l'ottica alle comunicazioni. Su Google trovo un'unica volta l'uso dell'acronimo PLC in italiano (tecnologia PLC), ma poiché PLC è usato diffusamente per i controllori a logica programmabile se opti per questa soluzoine io suggerirei di indicare sempre in parentesi lo svolgimento dell'acronimo (come avviene anche nel sito, che è il primo che indico). Una ricerca in inglese (e nei siti in lingua inglese) da parecchi hit, ma in italiano associando "ottica" (e simili) a circuito non trovo nulla. Dalla definizione inglese che ti riporto avanti DIREI che "guida d'onda a tecnologia planare" POTREBBE essere adatto, ma non ci giurerei.
