Base Pay Explanation: What I have found says grundlön and kontanta lönen are the same thing: base pay. It appears to hold an expectation of additional pay, such as speaking fees or bonus amounts. |

salary or wages Explanation: No...kontant lön is not base pay. In fact, rörlig kontantlön is a very common phrase. Kontant lön is the opposite of naturförmåner (payments in kind) or today, fringe benefits. Salary or wages is a better choice. We say "salary and fringe benefits." |
