D-form Explanation: The correct term is D-gata, instead of D-tai, but D-tai is also acceptable. The term refers to one of the two possible stereochemical configurations of a compound having one chiralic centre (assymetry in the structure) and giving two optical isomers (D and L). D does not refer to rotatory properies (e.g. D-fructose is actually levorotatory), but to a stereochemical structure as compared to a simple molecule: glyceraldehyde.
