| マニ三元触媒 Manifold Three Way Catalyst Explanation: According to the site linked below, 三元触媒 means "Three Way Catalyst", and my searches often found the word "マニフォールド" (manifold) with this term, so "マニ" may be an abbreviation of that. If this is an accepted term, it doesn¥'t seem like much of a stretch to add the adjectival phrase ¥"three way¥" to it. It¥'s true that a Google search for ¥"Manifold Three Way Catalyst¥" returns 0 results. But a search for the source phrase ¥"マニ三元触媒¥" also returns 0 results. So perhaps the translation is sound, although unusual. An unusual source term may beget an unusual translation, no? Of course I don¥'t know for sure, but lots of research hasn¥'t turned up anything better, so ¥"Manifold Three Way Catalyst¥" remains my best guess. Or perhaps ¥"Manifold/Three Way Catalyst¥", as I saw ¥"Manifold/Catalyst¥" often during my searches.
