E chi sa argomentare nelle piante e nelli animali farà nascere a suo modo la prole, e magnificherà o abbasserà la generazione umana con quest’arti; e se la donna desiderosa di qualche cosa molto si affligge di voglia, perché il portato suo è seco una cosa, s’infà pur della stessa voglia, e, s’è tenero ancora, la viene ad esprimere nel lavoro, e, dicono, in quella parte dove la donna desiosa si tocca, e può essere, perché lo spirito delle membra s’infà della voglia dello spirito comune, e quando il membro è toccato, si pensa quella cosa toccarlo che brama. Questo si vede nel genitale che da se stesso si rizza, come se proprio senso avesse, e ripugna all’obedienza del tutto, e li pare d’esser toccato dalla cosa imaginata, e opera con quella.

My second suggestion would be /he who ponders over/ for its old fashioned sound or you could use considers or investigates according to the type of style or tone you wish to convey
