Italian term or phrase: incrementi patrimoniali
This is from Italian legislation on regasification:

"individua gli incrementi patrimoniali annuali relativi alle immobilizzazioni relaizzate a partire dell'anno 1950 e presenti in bilancio al 31 dicembre..."

another example:
"determina il fondo di ammortamento derivante dalla somma dei prodotti degli incrementi patrimoniali di cui alla..."

I get the sense but can't think of the term. Any ideas?
thanks very much

assets growth (increase in assets)
Explanation:
I think this is the best way to put it. Maybe the term "appreciation" can be used in specific cases (as the contrary of depreciation), but the expression I suggested is more general. As the asker stated that he is aware of the meaning, I won't be explaining on that.
Also, I know that this term is used in many other contexts, e.g. investment funds, but still I believe that what it is all about is that one way or another the value of your property increases, so the assets side of the balance sheet increases.
Furthermore, I think the context quoted _itslef_ gives a pretty good idea of what the term means
