Grazie a tutti per il aiuto!! secondo me va bene sia rifugio che ricovero, forse anche posto di ricovero, o qc. del genere concordo comunque che negli Gnadenhof vengono ci sono quei animali in attesa della morte (per lo meno dalla parola tedesca in se, poi sta a vedere ...)

agree  harmatan: a volte li chiamano anche pensione, ma anche rifugio mi piace

  -> In tedesco c'è una sottile differenza, che secondo me in italiano viene resa solo dalla parte successiva della frase: negli Gnadenhof, per quel che so io, ci sono solo animali malati o vecchi in attesa della morte...forse andrebbe bene anche RICOVERO
