German term

Zwischenschein

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Share Purchase Agreement
Der Zwischenschein wird unter einem uebergeben.

This sentence comes from an AUSTRIAN Share Purchase Agreement. I have been assured by the client that the sentence is correct and complete and that in Austrian dialect it means: "the share certificate is herewith handed over". However, as it is a ZWISCHENschein, I am concerned that some of the meaning may have been lost here and that it should in fact be a prvovisional/temporary share certificate. Would be greatful if anyone with good knowledge of Austrian legal languagfe could shed some light on this.

As far as the context of the rest of the document goes, it could be either, as the remaining text does not mention another (permenent) 'share certificate'

Any thoughts much appreciated

interim certificate; interim share; script

...is what Dietl/Lorenz (5th ed. 2005) suggests. (Also see http://www.linguee.com/de-en/zwischenschein.html and http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zwischenschein .)

EUdict suggests "provisional certificate" (see http://www.eudict.com/?lang=engall&word=debenture certificat... .)

I honestly doubt the term has a completely different meaning under Austrian law.
