Explanation:
Softwareentwicklungssystem halte ich für etwas kritisch, da es falsche Erwartungen wecken kann.

Unter SDK wird üblicherweise alles das verstanden, was ein Softwareanbieter zusätzlich liefert, damit andere Programmierer zusätzliche Applikationen zur Erweiterung einer Software programmieren können, bzw. um andere Softweare zu entwicklen, die auf Teile dieser Software zugreifen kann.

Der Umfang eines SDK reicht von der Bereitstellung spezieller Tools über die Bereitstellung spezieller Programmbibliotheken bis hin zur Bereitstellung von Dokumentationen zu den Funktionen der Software.

Oft beschränkt sich das SDK jedoch auf die Bereitstellung dieser Dokumentation. In diesem Fall wäre der Begriff Softwareentwicklungssystem doch etwas irreführend.
