I haven't been able to find any suitable German references, but the buckling pin is definietely a 'Knickstab'.
'Knickstab-Umkehr-Berstscheiben' are ruppture pin devices that serve the same purpose: pressure relief.
Perhaps the buckling pin technique is not popular or not approved for use in Germany.
