"And the thing about caves, as we discovered, was that they can-- Like, for example, in the Yucatán, those were once dry caves. So that's where the stalagmites formed, et cetera. And the water table rose and flooded them. So we took the opposite line with ours in that possibly this was dry. Our cave had been dry and the water table had risen and actually-- So that's our reasoning for how these remnants of our previous group of explorers had got so far and deep into the cave. That they had gone for an exit that was probably dry, you know, 30 years ago."
