It's about the person's ability to walk a distance from one place to another, like he did before while his gait is about his posture and manner of walking. While his ability to practice sport is limited he has a tendency to limp due to pain in his ankle joint or articulation.

El reporte indica claramente que, debido a las complicaciones que presenta en el tobillo izquierdo, el paciente no puede realizar sus actividades normales diarias, tampoco practicar deportes ni mucho menos caminar, y por este motivo, es que cojea al caminar con bastante frecuencia.

caminar es moverse de un lado a otro, pero si tienes dolores en el tobillo no podras hacerlo. Vas a cojear. En cambio, andar puede ser en auto, bicicleta,etc..No siempre es a pie.
