vaya playa de bonita, es de Brasil?"

What's detallazo? I can have an idea, but I'd like to confirm it. Thanks.

Detallazo = Un detalle muy grande. Detalle, en este sentido = atencin.

register It's an informal word, isn't it?

that was really sweet of you

Personally I like James´ suggestion of a realy nice touch, but I would just like to comment that detallazo sounds young and "light" to me in Spanish while a nice touch or "that was thoughtful" is more neutral in register in English.

My suggestion would be to search for something more youthful, colloquial...Maybe other people have some ideas?? Do people understand what I´m trying to express?

Yes, \"detallazo\" is informal.

Close renditione would be:

- \"cool gesture\" or
- \"awfully nice\" :-)

A person who is \'detallista\' is very considerate, never forgets people\'s birthdays, that sort of thing.
