power (supply) interlock

I wish I could be more confident than to give such a literal translation. I would understand a "power interlock" to be something which connects or cuts the power based on the presence or absence of some other electrical signal or continuity. In the context of a mobile phone (and especially described as a cable), though, I can't imagine what this means.

As an unrelated, utterly useless and even mildly alarming question, shouldn't Nokia be translating things directly from Finnish to English?
