This is extremely confusing to me for the use of aprobar and acreditar en mexico. In mexico, we might say "mi hijo acreditó matematicas." Being this only a school subject. I googled such examples of the word accredit in english, and there are none. Yu accredit your studies, but you din't accredit a subject, or a course, meaning that you got a passing grade in it.
Could someone help me solve this huge confusion?
