English term

rich sampling

PK AND PD BIOMARKER BLOOD SAMPLE WORKSHEET
*RICH SAMPLING*

Gracias

...Yes, after finding this: http://www.google.it/search?hl=it&newwindow=1&biw=1259&bih=8...
I think DLyons' solution may be the correct one in this context.
Yazmin Osoyo (asker) Jun 15, 2011:
Más contexto-.. • The rich sampling schedule included 5 observations per individual,

taken at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours post-dose (100 individuals).

• For the sparse design, 50 individuals supplied 2 sampling points, one

early (1h post-dose) and one late (10 h post-dose), while the remaining

50 individuals provided only one point, evenly distributed between early

and late samples.

muestreo significativo

Peer comment(s):

agree Adán Cruz : I would go for "muestreo amplio"

Gracias, Adán.
neutral DLyons : This is more used is the context of calculating sample size to achieve significance http://nova_scientia.delasalle.edu.mx/numero_6/NovaScientia_...

disagree ARS54 : ...'significant/significance' expresses a totally different, statistical concept in medicine

muestreo intensivo

Peer comment(s):

agree ARS54 : ...IMO, 'rich' does not express the concept of "intensividad", here... / ...yes, it probably does, instead (see discussion)...

They are using "rich" very loosely in a sense that is closer to Marketing than Statistics. It's not actually "intensivo" but I feel they want to say something like that.

Peer comment(s):

neutral DLyons : This normally applies to an "enrichment" of the content of a physical sample. // I think Yazmin's "Más contexto" suggests that the "rich" refers more to greater frequency?

...yes, I thought of something about these lines: the Asker reports: "...para pruebas de sobrecarga de glucosa..." / ...puede ser... I've never found it in this way, but if so perhaps 'more frequent s.' may be the solution, :)
neutral Joseph Tein : Hola ... "enriquecimiento" de las muestras sería "enrichment". "Rich" sampling es algo diferente. Saludos :)

Peer comment(s):

neutral ARS54 : ...'(mas) frecuente' o 'intensivo' tienen IMO mayor sentido aqui...
