Thank you Mirta Your addition reaffirms what I believe. It´s obviously a criminal case, what I thought. But it´s rare to come across such a strange wording.

You're right. I have done other translations where I had the phrase "against the peace and...." The complete sentence is the following: This information is known through the investigation by Detective XXX along with the interview of the child victim, and they are witnesses to prove the same against the form and dignity of the State.

Strange wording here "Against the peace and dignity of the state" is a standard phrase in indictments and the one I am familiar with. However, I have never seen this before in affidavits and in the wording present in your text. I would certainly like to know what “the same” (to prove the same) here refers to.
