German term

Spritfresser

German to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks Fuel
I came up with "gas guzzler" but it sounds very US EN to me.
I need something more UK EN sounding.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated!

The UK is the 51st state, after all ;-) "Gas guzzler" would be fine IMO

I have come across the terms "guzzler" and "guzzling" in (South) Africa and Australia. It matches "SpritFRESSER" quite well in my opinion.
