I am a freelance translator (German to English) based in the UK.

I have been working as a translator since 2009. I was employed in-house for six years before turning freelance seven years ago. I take great pride in my work and always aim to produce a target text that reads as an original. I regularly translate business, marketing and tourism documents, although my work has covered a wide range of topics over the years.

Prior to focusing on translation, I was employed at a number of companies in the UK and Germany.

I have a degree in Marketing and German Studies from Lancaster University, and passed the Diploma in Translation in 2010. I have been an associate member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting since 2015.

I regularly use Transit NXT and SDL Trados Studio, and more recently started working with memoQ.
