Description: | The Foreign Language Document Review industry has changed a great deal since the speaker's first language project, which involved about two dozen Russian speakers and thousands of cardboard boxes filled with hard copy documents. The session will discuss what the industry is like today, with topics including the most in-demand languages, the top practice areas, the skills and qualifications sought by firms and agencies, the goals and concerns of different participants in the process (clients, firms, agencies, reviewers), and the varying roles that document reviewers may be asked to play. We will also try to look ahead to technological and other developments that may impact the industry in the coming years. |
