This is the most common kind of hernia. It happens most often in men, but women sometimes get them during pregnancy. It’s when fat or a loop of intestine pushes into your groin through a weakness in your lower belly. You may be born with it, or the problem can come with:
• Age, as muscles wear down over time
• Chronic coughing, as with someone who smokes
• Strain from physical activity or going to the bathroom

وهو أكثر أنواع الفتق شيوعًا وغالبًا ما يحدث عند الرجال ولكن قد تكون النساء الحوامل عرضة للإصابة به خلال فترة الحمل. يحدث حينما تُطلق كتلة دهنية أو عقد معوية إلي ما بين الفخذين (إربتك) خلال منطقة ما أسفل بطنك حيث تعاني ضعف ما. قد تولد بالفتق الإربي أو ربما تعانيه مع وجود هذه العوامل:
• السن: حيث تتلف العضلات مع التقدم بالعمر.
• الكحة المزمنة؛ مثلما نجد عند المدخنون.
• حدوث التواء نتيجة مجهود عضلي أو ممارسة السباحة.
