Source text - English A senile cataract, occurring in the elderly, is characterized by an initial opacity in the lens, subsequent swelling of the lens and final shrinkage with complete loss of transparency. Untreated, the cataract can cause phacomorphic glaucoma.
Some children develop cataracts, called congenital cataracts, before or just after birth; these are usually dealt with differently from cataracts in adults.
Signs and symptoms.

The patient was in supine position with elevated right arm. Marking for radical mastectomy was done. The tumor was localized in the upper outer quadrant of the breast with many palpable lymph nodes in the right axilla. Radical mastectomy with breast divided from the pectoralis muscle done and axillary clearance in level 1 and level 2 with many hard palpable lymph nodes resected. Two drains applied and subcutaneous tissue sutured with Vicryl and skin with Monocryl subcuticular and fixed by Steri-strips. Compression dressing was applied.

اتخذت المريضة وضع الاستلقاء مع رفع ذراعها اليمنى ثم حُدد مكان استئصال الثدي الجذري. كان الورم في الربع الخارجي العلوي من الثدي مع الكثير من العقد الليمفية المجسوسة في الإبط الأيمن. تمت العملية الجراحية من خلال فصل الثدي عن العضلة الصدرية، وأجريت إزالة للعقد اللمفية الإبطية المجسوسة على المستويين الأول والثاني. وأُدخل مصرفان وخيط نسيج تحت الجلد بخيط فيكريل بينما اُستخدم خيط مونوكريل في خياطة الجلد، وثُبت باستخدام الشرائط المعقمة. واُستخدمت الضمادات الضاغطة.
