Source text - Italian Due mesi fa nel giro di pochi giorni sono cambiate tutte le regole che abbiamo sempre seguito e un altro cambiamento per alcuni diventa una scalata insopportabile.
Cerco di immaginare cosa possano provare queste persone; credo si sentano spaesate e un po’ sconfitte perché non riescono più a fare ciò che prima era normale.
Uscire è una fatica psicologica, un pericolo.
Ricordo che mi era successa una cosa simile quando, a causa di un incidente, sono stata costretta a casa per parecchie settimane.
La strada era un luogo pericoloso, spesso scoppiavo a piangere in preda alla paura e volevo solo stare a casa dove mi sentivo protetta e accudita.
Ecco allora che la prigione diventa rifugio, un luogo sicuro dove rintanarsi. Perché abbandonarlo se il pericolo non è ancora terminato?
Questa è la sindrome della capanna, il rifiuto di tornare ad uscire per evitare la sofferenza e lo stress.
Colpisce i prigionieri, colpisce anche molti di noi costretti a casa per il virus.
La capanna diventa un stile di vita, rilassato, facile. La nuova realtà che troviamo fuori colpisce come uno schiaffo, è difficile, è terribile. I negozi chiusi, le strade meno affollate, mascherine e guanti ovunque. Sembra uno scenario post apocalittico, ci impressiona.
Ed ecco che per alcuni rimanere in questo letargo diventa la soluzione migliore.
Bisogna però farsi forza, avere coraggio, combattere anche contro nei stessi.

I try to imagine what these people might feel; I think they feel confused and a little defeated because they are no longer able to do what was normal before.
Going out is a psychological strain, a danger.
I remember something similar happened to me when, due to an accident, I was forced to stay home for several weeks.
The street was a dangerous place, I often burst into tears in fear and just wanted to stay at home where I felt protected and cared for.
Here then is that the prison becomes a refuge, a safe place to hide out. Why abandon it if the danger is not over yet?
This is the hut syndrome, the refusal to go out again to avoid suffering and stress.
It affects prisoners, it also affects many of us forced home by the virus.
The hut becomes a lifestyle, relaxed and easy. The new reality that we find outside hits like a slap, it is difficult and terrible. The closed shops, the less crowded streets, face masks and gloves everywhere. It looks like a post apocalyptic scenario, it impresses us.
And here for some, staying in this lethargy becomes the best solution.
However, we must be strong, have courage and even fight against ourselves if necessary.
