引言
1976 年,Seliga and Bringi提出双线偏振雷达设想,之后,美国、欧洲、日本等均发展了自己的双线偏振雷达用于天气观测 。1989年,中国科学院兰州高原大气物理研究所(现中国科学院寒区旱区环境与工程研究所)在713雷达的基础上进行双偏振改造,研制出了国内首部双线偏振天气雷达,以此为平台,刘黎平、王致君、张鸿发等多位学者在双线偏振天气雷达的探测理论,雷达数据质量控制,雷达产品在定量测量降水量与降水粒子相态识别等方面做了大量的研究工作,为中国双线偏振天气雷达的发展奠定了基础。进入21世纪,随着国内新一代多普勒天气雷达布网的逐步完善,在这些雷达的基础上进行双偏振改造的研究工作也已展开。中国气象科学研第1期苏添记等:中国双偏振天气雷达系统发展综述究院、中科院寒区旱区环境与工程研究所等科研院所和一些天气雷达厂家相继研制或改造出了X、C和S波段的双线偏振多普勒天气雷达。与第一部双线偏振天气雷达相比,这些雷达具有更高的测量精度,且具备多普勒功能。
双偏振天气雷达相比单偏振天气雷达,能获取更多的观测参量,这些双偏振参量在雷达定量测量降水、降水粒子的相态识别、杂波抑制等方面应用广泛,其性能比单偏振天气雷达更优越。

Introduction
In 1976, Seliga and Bringi proposed the idea of dual-liner polarization radar, after which the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries all developed their own dual-liner polarization radars for weather observation. In 1989, the Lanzhou Institute of Plateau Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (now named as Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences abbreviated as ‘CAREERI,CAS’) carried out dual polarization modification on the basis of ‘713 radar’ and then developed the first dual-liner polarization weather radar in China. With this first dual-liner polarization weather radar as a platform, Liu Liping, Wang Zhijun, Zhang Hongfa and many other researchers did a significant amount of research work on the detection theory of dual-liner polarization weather radar, radar data quality control, radar products in quantitative measurement of precipitation and precipitation particle phase identification, which laid the foundation for the development of dual-liner polarization weather radar in China. Moving into the 21st century, with the gradual improvement of setting up the network of the new generation Doppler weather radars, China has also carried out the research work of dual polarization modification based on these Doppler weather radars. Research institutes such as Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, CAREERI, CAS and some weather radar manufacturers have developed or modified the X, C and S-band dual polarization Doppler weather radars successively. Compared with the first-generation dual polarization weather radar, these radars have higher accuracy of measurement and are equipped with Doppler functions.
Compared with the single-polarization weather radar, the dual-polarization weather radar can acquire more observational parameters. These dual-polarization parameters are widely used in the quantitative measurement of precipitation by radar, phase identification of precipitation particles and clutter suppression. Thus, the dual-polarization weather radar’s performance is superior to the single-polarisation weather radar.
