Pôvod šamanizmu v Japonsku
Pokiaľ máme rozoberať samotnú tematiku šamaniek a dôvod ich pôsobenia práve v severných častiach Japonska, musíme sa dopytovať po pôvode šamanizmu per se a typu kozmológie, ktorá v Japonsku existovala. Čítajúc Kodžiki máme na prvý pohľad predstavu, že kozmologická topografia v Japonskom kontexte bola vertikálna. Napríklad, Izanami a Izanagi z nebeského mostu miešaním oceánu stvorili prvý ostrov Onogoro. Treba však mať na pamäti, ako nám pripomína Basil Chamberlain v poznámkach svojho prekladu „Záznamov vecí najstarších“, že mnohé detaily v diele sú skôr politického než mytologického charakteru. Ako potvrdzuje aj Blackerová, „...ľudia, ktorí prenášali (z generácie na generácie, pozn. autora) mytológiu Kodžiki boli jedni a tí istí, menovite vládnuca trieda, ktorá si našla cestu zo severnej časti ázijského kontinentu do oblasti roviny Jamato. [...] Avšak nepredstavovali všetok japonský ľud, tak ako aj ich mýty neboli nevyhnutne akceptované ľuďmi v iných častiach ostrovov.“
Ako však možno vidieť na vplyve buddhizmu, japonský šamanizmus nevychádza zásadne len z vertikálneho konceptu kozmu. Na jednej strane síce máme vertikálnu kozmológiu, keď sú nebo, peklo, zem spojené cez ideu stromu života, ktorý v japonskom kontexte je zastúpený v členení nebesá-ľudia-podsvätie. Na druhej strane, druhý zdroj šamanizmu predstavuje „polynézsky typ šamanizmu, ktorého hlavným príkladom sú slepé šamanky itako.“ Tento druhý typ je inherentne spojený s južnými vplyvmi na japonskú kultúru toho času a charakterizovať sa dá vierou v posadnutosť duchmi a horizontálnou kozmológiou, keď jednotlivé svety predstavujú dimenzie, či úrovne existencie. Na základe toho bolo možné odôvodniť schopnosti cestovania, respektíve vládnutia duchovných súcien naprieč „mostami“ medzi jednotlivými dimenziami.
Jedným z možných dôvodov zachovania tradície šamaniek – fujo (巫女) by sa mohla javiť skutočnosť, že japonské ostrovy sú geograficky nesmierne členité, a preto bolo šírenie akéhokoľvek inštitucionalizovaného náboženstva vykonávané len do určitej miery, a to centricky od stredu v hlavnom meste, prípadne kultúrnom centre, smerom von s postupným oslabovaním vplyvu. Navyše, je nutné vziať do úvahy koncept obecných jednotiek aza (字), tesne uzavretých v rámci princípu uči-soto.
Napokon, vezmime do úvahy zmýšľanie, ktoré vo svojej práci načrtol Janagita Kunio vo svojej práci „Sesterská moc“. Janagita skúmal primárne zdroje, aby napokon vyvinul teóriu a typológiu šamaniek. Pokiaľ ide o ženský element šamanizmu, na základe svojho štúdia sa domnieva, že „sklon [習性] žien stať sa posadnutými duchmi [sic!]“ je prítomný a kontinuálny od starovekých čias. Touto líniou zmýšľania sa snaží poukázať na silu ženského elementu: dojem predkov, že práve tendencia žien byť ľahko pohnutými a, ako potvrdzuje Kawamura Kunimicu, „ženská všeobecná fyziologická alebo emocionálna dispozícia a [ich] charakter“ boli dôvody, prečo boli predurčené stať sa šamankami.
Hoci sa z dnešného hľadiska Janagitov koncept „sesterskej moci“ javí ako prvok predmodernej psychológie a sám sa vyhýba kultúrnemu a sociologickému kontextu, na druhej strane však jeho práca slúži ako kvalitná kategorizácia jednotlivých typov šamaniek. Janagita radí šamanky do troch kategorií. V prvom rade hovorí o šamankách v rámci jednotlivých svätýň, odkazujúc na tradíciu šamaniek džinja miko (神社巫女). Navyše však zavádza dve kategórie, a to kučijose (口寄せ) šamanky a kami uba (神姥) šamanky. Na prácu Janagitu nadväzuje Kawamura, ktorý v spojitosti so severom Honšú považuje profesionálne šamanky kamisama za kučijose typ a slepé šamanky itako, ogamisama či waka za šamanky svätýň. Napokon hovorí, že „oba typy zhruba korešpondujú s vlastnosťami, ktoré Janagita spája s kami uba.“

Origin of shamanism in Japan
Analysis of the topic of shamanesses and the reason of their influence specifically in the northern parts of Japan requires a deeper inquiry into origins of shamanism per se and of the type of cosmology extant on the Japanese isles. Reflecting on the lines of Kojiki, prima facie the idea of verticality in Japanese cosmology arises. For instance, Izanami and Izanagi beget the first island of Onogoro by churning the ocean up from the divine bridge. Basic Chamberlain, however, reminds us in the notes of his translation of Kojiki the many details therein carry more of a political character rather that of myths. Blacker affirms this position: “...people who transferred (from generation to generation) mythology of Kojiki were the one and the same, namely governing elite, who found their way from northern parts of Asian continent into Yamato plateau region. [...] Nevertheless, they have not been encompassion all of Japanese folk, similarly their myths weren’t necessarily accepted by people in other parts of Japanese isles.”
As the influence of Buddhism evince, Japanese shamanism doesn’t spring fundamentally from purely vertical concept of cosmos. On the one hand, the vertical cosmology reflects the idea of tree of life, connecting heavens, hell and earth realm; in Japanese context worlds of deities, people and the underground. On the other hand, second source of shamanism can be descried within “Polynesian type of shamanism, the primary example of which are blind shamanesses itako.” This second type is inherently connected with southern influences on Japanese culture during ancient times and itself can be characterised by belief in spirit possession and horizontal cosmology wherein individual worlds correlate to dimensions, or rather to levels of existence. Based on above, abilities of travel, or command of spiritual entities across the “bridges” in between individual dimensions can be explained.
One of the possible reasons for preservation of shamanistic tradition of fujo (巫女) could be seen the fact of geographical ruggedness of Japanese islands which had hampered spread of any institutionalised religion. Dogma of central religion thus remained mostly practised in the capital and concentricly lost its influence outside of cultural centres. Furthermore, the concepts of closely knit communal units aza (字), which operated on the dichotomy of uchi-soto, have to be taken into account.
Additionally, we have to consider the ideas presented by Yanagita Kunio in his work “Power of sisters”. Yanagita collected research from primary sources and subsequently developed theory and typology of shamanesses. Regarding the female element of shamanism, based on his reasearch he concludes that “tendency [習性] of women to become possessed by spirits [sic!]“ is present and continual from ancient times. Via akin line of reasoning he attempts to emphasise the power of female element: ancestral assumption that female tendency to be affected and, as reaffirms Kawamura Kunimitsu, “general physiological or emotional disposition of women and [their] character” were prerequisites for them to become shamanesses.
Whilst from the present perspective Yanagita's concept of “power of sisters” may seem as pre-modern psychology fragment and itself omits sociological context, concomitantly his writing s serves as utmost apt classification of the individual types of shamanesses. Yanagita divides shamanesses into three categories. Firstly, he denotes the shamanesses of individual shrines and the tradition of shamanesses Jinja miko (神社巫女). Subsequently, he introduces two additional categories; kuchiyose (口寄せ) and kami uba (神姥) shamanesses. Kawamura furthers the work of Yanagita and in relation with north Honshuu posits professional shamanesses kamisama as kuchiyose type and blind shamanesses itako, ogamisama or waka as shrine shamanesses. Lastly, he claims that “both types approximately correlates with abilities that Yanagita connects with kami uba”.

Translation - Slovak Z miest na tomto svete mám najradšej kuchyňu. Príliš si nepotrpím na mieste; nech je to kdekoľvek, pokým to miesto disponuje kuchyňou, pokiaľ má priestor na prípravu jedál. Mám rada, keď je kuchyňa funkčná a dobre zaužívaná. Keď mihotavo leskne nabielo a kuchynských utierok dostatok. A hoci by kuchyňa bola hrozne špinavá, aj tak si ju neodbytne zamilujem. Kde podlahu pokrývajú rozhádzané zbytky zeleniny a od špiny spodok papúč sa farbí do čierna, je zvláštne priestorne a dobre.
Obrovská chladnička sa týčila na ostatnými, ktorej sa rovnalo len jedlo na ľahké prežitie jednej zimy a ja som sa opierala o striebro jej dverí. Keď som zodvihla oči od olejom ofŕkaného plynového variča a hrdze kuchynského noža, zvonku cez okno žiarila osamotene hviezda.
Kuchyňa ostáva so mnou. Radšej než zvažovať vlastnú samotu, uvažujem myšlienku o čosi prijateľnejšiu. Často hlbavo premýšľam, keď ma prepadne silná únava. Translation - English Out of all places upon this world I most relish the kitchen. Anywhere, in any form, long as there is place to prepare food, if there is kitchen, I will not be fussy. I prefer kitchens well-used and functional. And on top of that the white gleaming of the surface and a ample supply of clean kitchen towels to boot. And even when kitchen turns out to be hideously dirty it will still find its way into my heart. There is something bizarrely spacious and good about the place wherein discarded bits of groceries litter the floor which turns the soles of shoes jet-black how dirty it is.
I was leaning into the silver door of the refridgerator towering over all others, surmounted only by the amount food large enough to carry one over the winter with ease. Lifting my eyes from the oily bespattered gas cooker and away from the rust of kitchen knife, I noticed a singular star has been shining through the window. Kitchen remains with me. Rather than to ponder the loneliness I grasp on the a bit more alleviating idea. When besieged by tiredness, I often ruminate; when the time comes for me to breath the very last time, the kitchen is the place. Whether alone at a cold place or with someone at the warm one, I'd like to imagine it such without any fear, As long as it's in the kitchen, it will be good.

Source text - English XV. THE DEVIL
This card is attributed to the letter 'Ayin, which means an Eye, and it refers to Capricornus in the Zodiac. In the Dark Ages of Christianity, it was completely misunderstood. Eliphaz Levi studied it very deeply because of its connection with ceremonial magic, his favourite subject; and he re-drew it, identifying it with Baphomet, the ass-headed idol of the Knights of the Temple. But at this time archeological research had not gone very far; the nature of Baphomet was not fully understood. (See Atu 0, above.) At least he succeeded in identifying the goat portrayed upon the card with Pan.
On the Tree of Life, Atu XIII and XV are symmetrically placed; they lead from Tiphareth, the human consciousness, to the spheres in which Thought (on the one hand) and Bliss (on the other) are developed. Between them, Atu XIV leads similarly to the sphere which formulates Existence. (See note on Atu X and arrangement.) These three cards may therefore be summed up as a hieroglyph of the processes by which idea manifests as form.
This card represents creative energy in its most material form; in the Zodiac, Capricornus occupies the Zenith. It is the most exalted of the signs; it is the goat leaping with lust upon the summits of earth. The sign is ruled by Saturn, who makes for selfhood and perpetuity. In this sign, Mars is exalted, showing in its best form the fiery, material energy of creation. The card represents Pan Pangenetor, the All-Begetter. It is the Tree of Life as seen against a background of the exquisitely tenuous, complex, and fantastic forms of madness, the divine madness of spring, already foreseen in the meditative madness of winter; for the Sun turns northwards on entering this sign. The roots of the Tree are made transparent, in order to show the innumerable leapings of the sap; before it stands the Himalayan goat, with an eye in the centre of his forehead, representing the god Pan upon the highest and most secret mountains of the earth. His creative energy is veiled in the symbol of the Wand of the Chief Adept, crowned with the winged globe and the twin serpents of Horus and Osiris.
The sign of Capricornus is rough, harsh, dark, even blind; the impulse to create takes no account of reason, custom, or foresight. It is divinely unscrupulous, sublimely careless of result. "thou hast no right but to do thy will. Do that, and no other shall say nay. For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result is every way perfect." AL. I, 42-4.
It is further to be remarked that the trunk of the Tree pierces the heavens; about it is indicated the ring of the body of Nuith. Similarly, the shaft of the Wand goes down indefinitely to the centre of earth. "If I lift up my head, I and my Nuit are one. If I droop down mine head, and shoot forth venom, then is rapture of the earth, and I and the earth are one." (AL. II, 26). The formula of this card is then the complete appreciation of all existing things. He rejoices in the rugged and the barren no less than in the smooth and the fertile. All things equally exalt him. He represents the finding of ecstasy in every phenomenon, however naturally repugnant; he transcends all limitations; he is Pan; he is All.
It is important to notice some other correspondences. The three vowelconsonants of the Hebrew alphabet, Aleph, Yod, 'Ayin, these three letters form the sacred name of God, I A 0. These three Atu, IX, 0, and XV, thus offer a threefold explanation of the male creative energy; but this card especially represents the masculine energy at its most masculine. Saturn, the ruler, is Set, the ass-headed god of the Egyptian deserts; he is the god of the south. The name refers to all gods containing these consonants, such as Shaitan, or Satan. (See Magick pp.336-7). Essential to the symbolism are the surroundings – barren places, especially high places. The cult of the mountain is an exact parallel.
The Old Testament is full of attacks upon kings who celebrated worship in "high places"; this, although Zion itself was a mountain! This feeling persisted, even to the days of the Witches' Sabbath, held, if possible, on a desolate summit, but (if none were available) at least in a wild spot, uncontaminated by the artfulness of men. Note that Shabbathai, the "sphere of Saturn", is the Sabbath. Historically, the animus against witches pertains to the fear of the Jews; whose rites, supplanted by the Christian forms of Magic, had become mysterious and terrible. Panic suggested that Christian child ren were stolen, sacrificed, and eaten. The belief persists to this day.
In every symbol of this card there is the allusion to the highest things and most remote. Even the horns of the goat are spiral, to represent the movement of the all-pervading energy. Zoroaster defines God as "having a spiral force". Compare the more recent, if less profound, writings of Einstein.

Táto karta má priradené písmeno Ajin, ktoré značí Oko a odkazuje ku Kozorožcovi vo zverokruhu. V temnom veku kresťanstva bola úplne nepochopená. Eliphas Lévi ju do hĺbky študoval pre jej prepojenie s obradnou mágiou, čo bol jeho obľúbený predmet štúdia; a prekreslil ju, prepájac kartu s Bafometom, modlu rytierov templárskeho rádu s koziou hlavou. Avšak v tom čase nedosiahol archeologický výskum veľký pokrok; charakter Bafometa nebol plne pochopený. (Viď Atu 0, vyššie) Prinajmenšom Levi aspoň uspel v určení kozy vyobrazenej na karte s Panom.
Na strome života, Atu XIII a XV, sú zasadené symetricky; vedú z Tifareth, ľudského vedomia, do sfér, v ktorých Myslenie (na jednej strane) a Blaženosť (na druhej strane) sú rozvíjané. Medzi nimi, Atu XIV vedie podobne do sféry, ktorá utvára Existenciu. (Viď poznámky k Atu X a usporiadanie) Tieto tri karty môžeme zhrnúť ako hieroglyf dejov, pomocou ktorých sa idea preukazuje ako forma.
Táto karta reprezentuje tvorivú energiu v jej nanajvýš materiálnej podobe; Kozorožec sa vo zverokruhu ocitá na zenite. Ide o najvznešenejšie zo znamení; ide o kozu, ktorá dobýja skokom vrcholy zeme. Toto znamenie je pod nadvládou Saturnu, ktorý vykazuje individuálnosť a večnosť. V toto znamení Mars nachádza najviac povznesenú podobu, značiac najvyššiu formu ohnivej, materiálnej tvorivej sily. Karta reprezentuje Pana Pangenetora, Vše-stvoriteľa. Je to Strom života nazeraný na pozadí prekrásne krehkých, zložitých a fantastických podôb šialenstva, božského pobláznenia jari, predvídanej už v meditatívnej pomätenonsti zimy; napokon slnko sa obracia na vstupe do tohto znamenia. Korene Stromu, vyobrazené priesvitne, ukazujú nespočetné skoky živice; pred ním stojí himalájska koza s okom v strede na čele, čo odkazuje k bohu Panovi na najvyšších a najposvätnejších horách zeme. Jeho tvorivá moc je zahalená v symbole Palice Najvyššieho Adepta, ktorú korunuje okrídlený glóbus a dvojička hadov Horus a Osiris.
Znamenie Kozorožca je tuhé, temné, možno až slepé; pud tvoriť neberie do úvahy rozum, zvyk či prezieravosť. Je božsky neškrupulózne, vznešene nedbajúc na výsledok. „Nemáš žiadného práva lež konať vlastnú vôľu. Konaj tak a nikto iný nepovie nie. Keďže čistá vôľa, neuchlácholená účelom, odosobnená od túžby po výsledku, je v každom ohľade perfektná.“ AL. I, 42-4.
Nutno si všimnúť, že kmeň Stromu preráža nebesá, pričom okolo neho je telo Nuith naznačené kruhom. V podobnom duchu, stĺp Palice smeruje dole do stredu zeme. „Až zdvihnem svoju hlavu, Ja a Nuit sme jedno. Až ovisnem svoju hlavu a vypustím jed, potom je vytrženie zeme, a Ja som zajedno so zemou.“ (AL. II, 26). Vzorec tejto karty je následne úplné ocenenie všetkých existujúcich vecí. Človek sa takto rozradostí v drsnom a nehostinnom o nič menej ako v hladkom a plodnom. Všetky veci ho povznášajú rovnako. Takto reprezentuje nachádzanie extázy v každom jave, bez ohľadu na jeho prirodzenú odpornosť; človek sa nadnáša cez všetky obmedzenia; je Pan; je všetkým.
Je dôležité si uvedomiť dodatočné súvislosti. Tri hlásko-konsonanty hebrejskej abecedy, Alef, Jod, Ajin, tvoria posvätné meno Božie, I A O. Tri odpovedajúce Atu, IX, 0 a XV, takto ponúkajú trojvrstevnaté vysvetlenie mužskej tvorivej energie; táto karta však obzvlášť reprezentuje maskulínnu energy v jej najmužnejšej podobe. Saturn, vládca, je Set, kozohlavý boh Egyptských púští; boh juhu. Meno odkazuje na všetkých bohov s touto spoluhláskou v mene, napríklad Shaitan alebo Satan. (Viď Magick s. 336-7). Podstatným pre symbolizmus je prostredie - nehostinné miesta, obzvlášť vysoko položené lokality. Kult hory predstavuje presnú paralelu.
V Starom zákone nájdeme bezpočet napádania kráľov, ktorí uznávali uctievanie na „vysokých miestach,“ a to i napriek tomu, že Zion sám osebe je horou! Tento sentiment vydržal ešte aj v dobe Čierneho sabatu, ktorý sa odohrával, v rámci možností, na opustenom vrchole hory, a ak to nebolo možné, aspoň v opustenej divočine, bez vplyvu človeka. Na tomto mieste je nutné vziať do úvahy, že Šabbathaj, „sféra Saturnu“, je Sabat. Dejinne, tendencia voči čarodejniciam má súvislosť so strachom pred Židmi, ktorých rituály, nahradené kresťanskými formami mágie, sa stali tajuplnými a hroznými. Dobová panika naznačuje, že kresťanské deti boli unášané, obetované a kanibalizované. Táto povera prevláda dodnes.
V každom symbole tejto karty nachádzame alúziu k najvyšším a najvzdialenejším veciam. Dokonca i rohy na koze majú špirálový tvar, za účelom poukázania na pohyb vše-objímajúcej energie. Zoroastrizmus definuje Boha ako „oplývajúceho špirálovitou silou.“ Núka sa porovnanie s nedávnou, hoci menej hlbokou, tvorbou Einštajna.

„Jsme malá redakce s velkou kulturní stopou. Nemáme stabilní pracovní pozice a ve srovnání se standardem v médiích máme podprůměrné platy. Po celé roky jsme pracovali s full-time nasazením na poloviční úvazek a bez zdravotního pojištění a dalších benefitů,“ napsali v prohlášení lidé z týmu za největším hudebním serverem Pitchfork. Poté, co vydavatelství Condé Nast zničehonic propustilo celé kreativní oddělení a jednoho z hlavních editorů, se na konci března odhodlala redakce ke kroku, o kterém se diskutovalo měsíce. Vytvořila vlastní odbory – Pitchfork Union – a společně s další redakcí vydavatelství Condé Nast, technologickým serverem Ars Technica, se připojily k odborářské organizaci News Guild of New York, pod níž nespadají jen novináři, ale také neziskovky nebo sociální pracovníci. Novinářských odborů ve Spojených státech přibývá. Vedle News Guild je zaštiťují organizace Writers Guild of America nebo East (WGAE): redakce chtějí mít jednoduše větší jistoty, rovnoprávné pracovní prostředí a spravedlivé zacházení v době, kdy média zas tak stabilní nejsou. A netýká se to jen Ameriky.
Best New Union
Za dvě desetiletí svého fungování vyrostl Pitchfork z fanouškovského blogu v mainstreamové médium s celosvětovým dosahem, indie scéna nultých let by bez něj neexistovala, stovky velkých hvězd od Arcade Fire přes Bon Ivera po rapperku Rico Nasty jim můžou děkovat a proslýchá se, že pochvalná recenze Pitchforku s nálepkou Best New Music zajistí kapele turné po Severní Americe. Přepisují také hudební kánon s důrazem na přehlížené hudebnice nebo tu vycházejí rozsáhlé eseje, které otevírají témata od genderové nerovnosti na velkých hudebních festivalech až po ekologickou zátěž vinylového revivalu. Kulturní vliv Pitchforku je obrovský, a přitom až do roku 2015 fungoval nezávisle. V konkurenci s velkými vydavatelskými domy to měl během krize médií těžké, proto se nakonec nechal koupit gigantem Condé Nast.
„Odbory jsou nezbytné. Náš průmysl se topí v chaosu a naše specifická redakce přišla o hodně talentovaných lidí – chci, aby s nimi bylo zacházeno férově a mohli se v budoucnu bránit,“ tweetoval jeden z členů Pitchfork Union, zprávař Evan Minsker. Společně s dalšími kolegy si vytiskli odborářské kartičky, nechali vytvořit odznáčky a merch nebo poskládali playlist „revolucionářských“ songů, kde najdete Union Burying Ground od písničkáře Woodyho Guthrieho nebo elektronickou hudebnici Marie Davidson s deskou Working Class Woman. Právě zmiňovaná producentka se na albu vyrovnává s přepracovaností a její ironický song Work It působí jako manažerská motivační hymna pro open space kanceláře. Jako by se ptala: „Chcete, aby vám práce sebrala váš život?“ Odboráři z Pitchforku na svoji odpověď, tedy oficiální vyjádření od vedení Condé Nast, stále čekají.

Journalist unions in USA are on the rise, recently joined by prominent music service Pitchfork. How does it work here?

“We are small editorial office with significant cultural imprint. We don’t have stable jobs and in comparison with media standards we are paid below average salaries. For years we have been working part-time, without health insurance or any benefits”, wrote staff of the largest music server Pitchfork in their statement. After the publishing house Condé Nast suddenly laid off its entire creative division and one of the senior editors, the editorial staff decided at the end of March to take steps which have spawned discussions for months to follow. The staff created its own union - Pitchfork Union - and together with another editorial office of Condé Nast - tech magazine Ars Technica - joined union organisation of News Guild of New York which harbours not merely journalists but also non-profit organisations and social workers. Newsroom unions are on the rise in United States of America. Along News Guild they are covered by organisations of Writers Guild of America or East (WGAE): editorial staff simply put strives for greater securities, equal work environments and fair treatment in the age when media can be seen as all but stable. And that doesn't apply exclusively to America.

During last two decades since its inception, Pitchfork have grown from fan blogsite into mainstream medium of worldwide presence, without which indie scene of the recent period wouldn't be able to exist. Hundreds of big stars, from Arcade Fire, Bon Iver to female rapper Rico Nasty, owe their success to the site. According to urban rumours, a positive review from Pitchfork with an approval badge ‘Best New Music’ can ensure a tour for a band across North America. The site is behind rewriting of music canon with the emphasis on overlooked female musicians and they publish elaborate essays on the topics from gender inequality at large music festivals to ecological imprint since the vinyl revival. Cultural influence of Pitchfork is therefore significant, yet up until 2015 the site operated independently. Competing with large-scale publishing houses the site had run into a rut during the media crisis and thus let itself be acquired by the giant Condé Nast.
“Unions are indispensable. Our industry currently drowns in chaos and our specific editorial house have lost a lot of talented people - I aim for them to be treated fairly and that they can defend themselves in the future”, tweeted one of the members of Pitchfork Union, news writer Evan Minsker. In cooperation with other colleagues, they created union cards, created little emblems and merchandising as well as creating a playlist of “revolutionary” songs; among others you can find here Union Burying Ground from songwriter Woody Guthrie or electronic musician Marie Davidson with her album Working Class Woman. Latter producer deals on this album with her own overworking and her ironic song Work It gives impression of the managerial motivational hymn for open space offices. As if she’s asking: “Do you want for your work to steal your life?” Unionists from Pitchfork are currently still await they answer, that is for the official statement from the board of Condé Nast.
