I am a 25-year-old girl from Verona, Italy. I studied Linguistic Mediation and Specialized Translation at the University of Bologna. I have an advanced knowledge of English and Spanish, an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Chinese and a basic level of Portuguese and French.

During the course of my university studies, I had the opportunity to spend some periods abroad to improve my languages knowledge as well as to learn to live in a foreign environment. I spent six months on Erasmus in Barcelona, where I had the chance to further my Spanish knowledge. Later on I won a scholarship for an "Overseas" programme and I spent two separate semesters in Shanghai, so that I could improve my Chinese skills and discover Chinese culture.

I love travel and adventure; besides visiting various European countries, I travelled across China, the United States and Mexico.

As for my technical skills, in 2018 I obtained the certificate of the online translation course “Por los Mares de la Traducción Económico-Financiera (EN-ES), 2ª edición”. 

I am familiar with translation tools such as MemoQ, SmartCat, OmegaT, AntConc, BootCaT, Subtitle Edit, MateCat, Google Toolkit and I took the Advanced certificate of SDL Trados Studio 2017 for Translators. I also have some experience with Wordpress. I practised many different kinds of translation at university, about tourism, food, health and the sanitary system, literary, scientific, technical, software, videogaming, marketing and financial and so on; I also have subtitling skills.

To be born in Italy gives people the "advantage" of having to translate almost everything and I consider myself lucky for the opportunity to get to know other languages and cultures.
