Hi, my name is Simon Lundqvist. I currently work as a freelance translator, proof reader and transcriber I have a broad range of interests and expertise, but most of all a great passion for linguistics and language.

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. Swedish is a language that is near and dear to my heart. No other language has quite the same rhythm and nuance.

I have lived, studied, and worked in New Zealand for a number of years, and so my written and spoken English is at a native level of proficiency and fluency.

I am very comfortable expressing myself both verbally and through writing in both Swedish and in English - in casual, formal, academic or medical contexts.

I have a diverse background and a broad range of interests to draw from, as well as an art school background which taught me to be creative in both thinking and writing.

I pride myself on being punctual, efficient and professional. As a personal point of pride, I always endeavour to deliver well in advance of any deadline.

I am proficient using a lot of different types of software, and I always seek to learn to use new tools and processes.
