Texto de origen - inglés Recognised for its famous sales, food hall and signature green bags, Harrods is one of the world's largest and most prominent department stores. With more than a million square feet of space, Harrods sells luxury and everyday items across seven floors and 330 departments. Its motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique – All Things for All People, Everywhere – and the store attracts 15 million customers each year.
The Knightsbridge store was established in 1849 by Charles Henry Harrod. Beginning in a single room and employing two assistants and a messenger boy, it mainly sold tea and groceries. Harrods steadily expanded, and by 1880 was a thriving department store, offering everything from medicines and perfumes to clothing and food, attracting wealthy customers.
When the store reopened after a destructive fire in 1883, it exuded palatial style, featuring a terracotta facade adorned with cherubs, swirling Art Nouveau windows and a baroque-style dome. In 1889, Harrods became a public company and had the first ‘moving staircase’ (escalator) in the United Kingdom; by the 1890s it had established a bank and estate agency and a department selling exotic pets that lasted until the 1970s.
During World War II, the store transformed itself from selling luxury goods to making uniforms, parachutes and parts for Lancaster bombers. After the war, it was in the hands of House of Fraser store group for over 25 years.
The store returned to private ownership in 1985 when Egypt-born Mr Al Fayed bought House of Fraser for £615m. He added his own personal touches to the flourishing store, including the Egyptian Room, which features several busts of himself, and a memorial to his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales, following their tragic deaths in 1997. In 2000, he chose not to renew his royal warrants, stating that the Queen and Prince Charles had not shopped there in several years and that continuing to display the warrants would be ‘misleading and hypocritical’.
In 2010, he sold Harrods to Qatar Holdings for £1.5 billion. The sale may not be the end of his involvement with the store. Al Fayed, who – such is his attachment to the store – previously said he would like to be buried at the site, wants to stay on at the store as honorary chairman.

A loja tornou a ter proprietários privados em 1985 quando o egípcio Mr Al Fayed comprou o conglomerado House of Fraser por £615m. Ele adicionou seu estilo próprio à loja e a fez reflorescer, incluiu a Sala Egípcia, que exibe diversos bustos seus, e um monumento em memória a seu filho Dodi e Diana, princesa de Gales, após suas mortes trágicas em 1997. Em 2000, ele decidiu não renovar seus mandados reais, afirmando que a Rainha e o Principe Charles não haviam comprado ali em muitos anos e que continuar a exibir tais mandados seria "enganoso e hipócrita".

The audiovisual translation is what I would consider one of my greatest passion! It brings along not only the challenge of the translation itself - especially on the comedy genre - but also the time coding limitation, the technical requirements, the perfect synchronization of the content to the scene!

If you want to sell your products to the Brazilian audience, then you should talk to your (future) clients in their mother tongue, in Portuguese.
Using the appropriate language for specific niches and effective mental triggers, the transcreation of your marketing content can convert your audience into clients.
