Bio
I have over 11 years’ experience in translation and besides a Masters in Languages and Literature I also attended law school for 3 years. I am native both to the Portuguese language and to the English language, with a strong knowledge of the Spanish language.
My key duties are around translation and localization of contents such as operating manuals and procedures, internal policies, contracts and agreements, medical and pharma (specially trials and medical devices. My usual tools of work ate Trados and Wordfast, but have worked with other CAT tools for the past few years.
Have published several works within the last 8 years on numerous subjects such as sports, engineering and manuals. The languages pairs I work with are:
- English to Portuguese (Angola or Portugal)
- Spanish to English
- Spanish to Portuguese
- Portuguese (Angola, Brazil or Portugal) to English
My fields of expertise include Medical and Pharma, Aviation and Automotive translation, Oil & Gas, Marketing and Business, Science and Software & Hardware. I have worked with such companies as Embraer, Lilly, Merck (MSD), Kodac and various other companies through translation agencies.
My current location is in Portugal and I usually work out of my home office fully equipped with high speed internet and access to coffee for those longer nights translating.
