I am a native speaker of Dutch and I live in the Netherlands.

After my English language studies at Groningen University, where I specialized in Translation, I worked as a fulltime in-house translator at a large patent agency for seven years (2003-2010). In those years, I have become an experienced translator, translating both Dutch-English and English-Dutch. My translation work consisted of texts in a wide range of fields, including mechanical and electronic engineering, food technology, agro-technology, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biochemistry, as well as legal documents for patent cases.

I am currently working as a self-employed translator and in the past few years I have further increased my experience in the above fields. My main specialisation is still patent translation, but my current working fields also include medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture & food, sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, biology) and engineering.
